Northside Swim Center to open for Open Swim Saturday, July 9th


UPDATED:
The Northside Swim Center Pool will be open during Open Swim hours on Saturday, July 9.
The pool will be open Friday for all regularly scheduled private rentals.

Via the City of Rome: 
Rome City Water crews have completed repairs to the water line. The water department is currently charging the system to restore water pressure; which will gradually rise until it meets normal pressure.
There should be no more disruption in service, however if any problems should arise, water customers are asked to report any issues to the Rome City Water Department at 706-236-4560.

Via the City of Rome: Rome City Water crews continue to make repairs to the water line today. Another break occurred yesterday after crews worked all night to repair the initial leak.

Some customers will experience a disruption in service. Crews are working to diligently to repair the water line as quickly as possible.
The Northside Swim Center Pool will be closed until further notice, confirmed Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation officials on Friday morning.

Parks Superintendent Todd Wofford said Friday morning that due to water pressure issues in the North Rome area, the public restrooms at the swim center are not accessible.

The RFPRD hopes to reopen the pool once the leaks are repaired and water pressure returns to normal.
