Rome, GA- Romans can celebrate the Fourth of July in style again this year, as the Harbin Clinic Patriotic Party in the Park returns to Ridge Ferry, featuring games, inflatable water slides, live music, food vendors and a phenomenal firework show.
“We are pleased to once again partner with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation and Parker Systems to bring the Patriotic Party in the Park to Rome,” Harbin Clinic CEO Kenna Stock says. “This is an event that has something for everyone.”
The festivities begin at 3 p.m. when the Harbin Clinic Splash Bash opens. The Splash Bash features several inflatable water slides as well as a dunking booth to help everyone keep cool in the hot July weather. The Splash Bash is free and appropriate for all ages.
Beginning at 6 p.m. participants can compete in free old-fashioned games such as a pie eating contest, watermelon eating contest, Hula-Hoop contest, three-legged race and more. Contest winners receive fun Harbin Clinic prize packs. “What would July Fourth be without a pie in the face or a fun water slide?” says Kevin Cowling, director of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation.
At 8 p.m. Little Known Letter, an alternative rock band from Rome, will take the stage.
The day ends with the annual fireworks display presented by Harbin Clinic and Parker Systems. “We promise it will be the best fireworks show ever seen in the area, “ says David Parker, CEO of Parker Systems.
The fireworks are set to begin at roughly 9:45, allowing park goers a chance to view the patriotic display to cap off the day’s fun.
