Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation to host Puppy Plunge at Northside Swim Center on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Rome, GA- Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will be hosting a puppy pool party at Northside Swim Center, located at 501 Kingston Ave NE, Rome, GA 30161 on Sunday, September 16, 2018. This event will consist of open swim, a DJ, and more! Snickers the tracking dog from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit will make an appearance and Georgia Dog Gym will be giving demonstrations such as Dock Diving Dogs, Obedience, Canine Scent Work, as well as performances. Proceeds will benefit Rome-Floyd County Special Olympics and the Floyd County Sherriff’s Department K-9 unit.

Designated swim times will be based on dog’s weight.

1pm – 2pm: Small/Medium Dog Swim (49 lbs. and below)
2pm – 3:30pm: Doggy Demos
3:30pm – 4:30pm: Large Dog Swim (50 lbs. and above)

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to have an event dedicated to our furry friends.” says Tammy Bryant, event coordinator at Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. “We would like to invite the public to attend and help these two great organizations.”

Tickets are $15 and includes a T-shirt and doggy goodie bag provided by Petland! Register before September 4 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. All dogs must be current on vaccinations. Please provide proof of vaccination.
