Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation to host 2nd Annual Truck or Treat event at Ridge Ferry Park on October 31, 2018.

The countdown to Halloween has begun and Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is preparing for their Truck or Treat event. This FREE event at Ridge Ferry Park consists of safe trick or treating, costume contests, music, and more!

Starting at 5:00 pm, local businesses and food trucks will begin passing out treats to all trick-or-treaters attending. Music and inflatables will be on site as well. The costume contest will begin at 6:00pm. This year we will have three categories: ages 5 and under, 6-10, and 11+. There will be a prize bucket filled with goodies to be awarded to the winner in each category.

“This event was created with the purpose of providing a safe environment for everyone in Rome-Floyd County to take their children to trick or treat on Halloween.” says Betsy Allgood, Recreation Manager for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. “We thank all the businesses who are coming out to help with this great community event, especially our sponsors, Parker Systems, Hi-Tech Signs, Holston Gases, and Seo’s Martial Arts.” With over 3,000+ participants and over 40,000 pieces of candy distributed last year, Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation hopes that this year will be bigger and better!
